The ancient Ostrožac Fortress, picturesquely situated above the Una River, near Cazin, is one of the most important historical monuments in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Its origins date back to the 13th century. Throughout history, the fortress has been shaped by various rulers—including the medieval Bosnian Kingdom, the Ottoman Empire, and later the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
Particularly striking is the castle in the center of the complex, which was built in the 19th century during the Habsburg era and gives the castle a romantic, almost fairytale-like character.
This engraving honors the rich cultural heritage of Ostrožac – a harmonious combination of history, architecture and modern craftsmanship on natural wood.
